Nothern Light Photo Studio is based out of Battle Lake, MN. My friend Corissa Nelson, the owner and photographer, wanted a simple web site to display her work and manage it herself.
A trailer and ramp company based out of the Brandon/Evansville, MN area. Owner Gregg Western wanted a nice website to display his wide variety of trailers and ramps. This website design is based off of his colorful trailer/ramp catalog.
I have done alot more projects than listed here. It's sad but true, but the cold hard fact is, websites come and go.
Business get sold, they go out of business, and their websites follow them.
Some people expect a website to bring them in lots of money and expect to hit it big.
Yes, it can, but it's up to the business owner to make it work.
Here's a few tips to help your website succeed:
ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE
Get your website name out there! Put it on your business cards, in the newpaper, on the radio, on your pens and shirts, and even on the side of your automobile!
The more advertising you do, the more traffic you will get!
LINKS
You need to have other websites link to yours, and your website needs to have links to other websites.
Set up a link exchange with other local businesses in your area that have websites.
Links, coming and going are very important, especially when it comes to getting into search engine's search results.
KEEP IT FRESH
Update your site often! Make it interesting and give your viewers a reason to come back!
Have coupons on the site that customers can print off and bring into the store for a discount!
A great way to see how many customers look at your website.
Put up information about local events that may not have anything to do with your website or business.
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
Your website can earn your extra income in so many ways.
Sell advertising space on your website to local businesses.
Put up Google Ads and get a check from Google.
See the ads on the sides of my site? I make money from those!
