Picked up this 1997 GTX 787 from an auction super cheap. Was listed as having low compression, so figured the engine needed to be rebuilt. Turned out the engine had perfect compression, but the rave valves were gummed up and the wear ring was shot. Did all the usual, new oil/gas lines, rebuilt the carbs, replaced the wear ring and serviced the pump, got replacement seats from a donor, and installed new HydroTurf foot mats. I water tested it and literally sold it the next day!!
